Template doesn't work
[edit]@Sdkb: FYI, this template doesn't work. {{If administrator|text for administrators|text for non-administrators}}
generates the text text for administratorstext for non-administrators for me. The root cause seems to be that the CSS class nonsysop-show
does not appear to exist on enwiki. It should be at MediaWiki:Group-sysop.css like it is for nonextendedconfirmed-show
at MediaWiki:Group-extendedconfirmed.css, but it isn't. Mz7 (talk) 21:29, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Mz7, thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure what happened with the CSS class, but if you know how to fix it, feel free to make the requisite changes; it'd be nice to have this working! Cheers, {{u|Sdkb}} talk 01:47, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Sdkb: Ah yeah, we would need an interface administrator to add the CSS class to MediaWiki:Group-sysop.css. Let me see if I can draft up an edit request... Mz7 (talk) 02:10, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- For future editors coming across this discussion, the edit request at MediaWiki talk:Common.css/Archive 19#Interface-protected edit request on 14 February 2022 was denied because having a way to hide text from administrators was seen to have a high potential for abuse. --Ahecht (TALK
