[edit]Please change the text to:
{{#ifeq: {{{team}}} | yes | [http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/teamseasons.php?tid={{{1|{{{id}}}}}} {{{2|{{{title|{{PAGENAME}}}}}}}} season statistics and records] | [http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid={{{1|{{{id}}}}}} {{{2|{{{title|{{PAGENAME}}}}}}}}'s career stats]}} at [http://www.hockeydb.com/ The Internet Hockey Database]
This allows a user to add |team=yes
so that the number and url now refers to the teams stats. LegoKontribsTalkM 22:49, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good. I put this in, and added documentation. Cool Hand Luke 01:47, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Could the doc subpage be added? Thanks! GregorB (talk) 21:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Done. --- RockMFR 22:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Removal of second link
[edit]WP:NOT wikipedia is not a link directory nor is it for promotion. Now we use Hockeydb to show stats, but the link to the players profile includes several links to the site. The second link is nothing more than promotion. I think it should be removed from the template.--Crossmr (talk) 04:06, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

I get fed up seeing the lazy use of "stats" for "statistics". Can the template not be edited to say Player's career statistics? (I should add, this is not the only example - many other sporting articles have the same - it's just that my 'fedupiness' reached a peak on an ice hockey page!) - Many thanks. I know I was just being fussy, but.... Emeraude (talk) 16:32, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
Why HockeyDB?
[edit]When did we decide to include a link to hockeydb on each player page? It's essentially free promotion for a site that does not add much content other than what is already available on most player Wikipedia player articles. There are several other sites with hockey statistics that have much more information about each player, for example hockeyreference.com or nhl.com. Where would be the right place to discuss this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.78.221.226 (talk) 19:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
