Heathrow and Maintenance Loops

[edit]

Why is this still showing Heathrow, dropped several years ago, except to illustrate an article on the history of HS2 proposals along with the HS1 link? Also is there are value in showing the Maintenance Loops for phase 1 . A very in-depth detail and not shown for phase 2.--FDent (talk) 22:02, 22 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This template would be improved by the removal of the 2 maintenance loops and infrastructure depot because this is some complicated that it would be better to limit it to destinations and links with the rest of the network. Operations details could be treated seperately but must have more than a partial treatment as here. What about Washwood Heath for starters?--FDent (talk) 21:58, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Now done. It's misleading only indicating maintenance loops and infrastructure depot for one part of the route, and this already a complicated map. Stations are the key interest for most reader. For those interested in operational detail, I suggest a separate map of infrastructure depots, but I'm not about to do it.--FDent (talk) 09:15, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Claydon?

[edit]

What's the significance of Claydon, Oxfordshire? Is this meant to be the location of the Calvert depot? And what about Washwood Heath depot [1] Also why is the phase 1/2 boundary shown north of Euston? --FDent (talk) 18:18, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The nearest rail junction is Claydon LNE Junction but I don't think we could use that. The maintenance yard is to be served from East West Rail. Perhaps someone else can answer your other questions. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 13:11, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
