Merger with sym

[edit]

Someone has made a similar template at {{sym}}, for which I provided documentation (I just hate to see an undocumented template.) This is not widely used; but I feel that these symbols generally should not be hidden under a subtemplate of a process and so on; one of the difficulties if one at all engages in "process" as opposed to editing articles is finding the templates necessary which are a secret of those who know the process. So, although no doubt GAList/check and others have more provenance etc, I think it would be a good thing to try to move them towards a more common template, and {{sym}} seems better than a subtemplate . Comments please. Si Trew (talk) 13:46, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please replace with the current version of the sandbox (diff). This add a separate default image, , when one isn't specified are the given parameter isn't recognized, rather than defaulting to the neutral symbol. This is following the defaults in Template:GAProgress, which use this image for unevaluated criteria. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 19:43, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Fix typo as shown in the sandbox – "netural" should be "neutral", but keeping both for backward compatibility since I can't tell if any of the 39K+ transclusions use the misspelling.

This change will also allow this template to be used in {{GAProgress}} (and simplify that template's output when subst'd). Olivaw-Daneel (talk) 19:59, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

 Completed, and thank you very much! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 23:17, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Paine Ellsworth: Thanks! Just one more edit from the sandbox – this adds "question" and "huh" from {{GAProgress}} that I'd overlooked. That should be everything! Olivaw-Daneel (talk) 00:00, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
