Europe

This template was considered for deletion on 15 April 2013. The result of the discussion was "no consensus".

Order

The English are ranked third but they are actually 6th by population size. Is this misplacement deliberate? I do not have a copy of the source – what does it say?

regarding this Surely it is being ranked as British as opposed to English so could this not be stated instead.

Manx People

The table (not the map) appears to be wrong for Manx people stating 0.0003 million people (that's 300 if my maths is right). Surely completely wrong. The present population of the island is around 85,000. Around half of those are native born (the others being English, Scottish, Irish, Polish, etc.) which would make for a native Manx population of around 40,000.--ЗAНИA ^talk ^{WB talk}] 20:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I imagine whoever completed the table entered data for Manx speakers rather than Manx people. Even so recent census data show around 2,000 Manx speakers.--ЗAНИA ^talk ^{WB talk}] 20:24, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sardinians are an ethnic group

Is it possible block this template to modification by unregistered users?

A person from Milan, Northern Italy is continuously vandalizing this template, denying that Sardinian People are an ethnic group. Statute of Sardinia Autonomous Region recognises sardinians as an ethnic group, only the Italian Republic due to political reasons doesn't recognize sardinians (that are culturally, geographically, linguistically and genetically isolated from Italians) as an ethnicity.

Meaning of the term "ethnic Group": "Ethnicity or ethnic group is a socially defined category of people who identify with each other based on a perceived shared social experience or ancestry.[1] Membership of an ethnic group tends to be associated with and ideologies of shared cultural heritage, ancestry, history, homeland, language or dialect, and with symbolic systems such as religion, mythology and ritual, cuisine, dressing style, physical appearance, etc."

You wrong. Italy recognises the Sardinian languages. The ethnicity is a different thing. Wikipedia is not a personal blog where you promote your ideas. It's an encyclopaedia. I saw your contributions, and you always try to separate Sardinia from Italy. Are you an independentist? If you want to promote your idea, you should create a personal blog on internet rather than vandalizing Wikipedia. Moreover your attempt to identify my position is unfair for the privacy rules of Wikipedia and a clear sign of your arrogance. Sardinia is culturally separated from Italy? Strange! Grazia Deledda won the Noble Prize in Literature for her works written in the Italian language. Goffredo Mameli is the author of the text of the Italian national anthem and he was from Sardinia. Please, as you can see, you are showing only a point of view. Wikipedia is not a blog.
