Cover major mayoral elections?
[edit]Can this template be used to cover mayoral elections in Kentucky's major cities? I just created Louisville mayoral election, 2010. I would like to include it if there are no objections. Thanks! Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 02:19, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- Since there are apparently no objections, I have added it. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 17:08, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Louisville elections
[edit]Please keep this component of the template. Louisville is the state's biggest city and has an election article. There will be more to come in the years ahead. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 15:16, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
The gubernatorial election is not particular to any city. To include "Louisville Elections" only serves to confuse. Respectfully Dpky (talk) 04:47, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- How does it confuse? This infobox is about elections in the state of Kentucky. Louisville is in Kentucky, right? Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 17:30, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
Let me explain; it confuses when the template is added to statewide elections. Louisville elections are not statewide and the Kentucky Elections Template should be for statewide elections and State election law. If we want to take the stance that this template is for all elections in Kentucky, Then perhaps the proper thing to do would be to create a section called "Local Elections" or "County and Municipal Elections" within the template. However, I don't wish to change the nature of this article just so that we can have more link backs to our less noteworthy local elections. In fact, most local elections would be considered not noteworthy and so adding a local section could slant the focus of the template towards one or two locales. - Not true. The Kentucky template should have all congressional, state senate, state house, and local elections. That's the case for all state templates.
