I am requesting that the following edit notice (or a variant of it) be added to the FarmVille article, as over the last few weeks, many users and IPs have added unnecessary and unencyclopedic gameplay lists to the article (see history). Adding an edit notice would hopefully inform future editors about adding such lists, which aren't appropriate for articles. While a hidden comment could be left in the article (I recently added one), it would need to be added in multiple sections, which would be repetitive and less noticable. Please do not add lists of animals, buildings, decorations, seeds, and other gameplay lists to the FarmVille article. Such lists do not serve the purpose of the article, which is to inform readers what FarmVille is, not how to play. See WP:GAMECRUFT and WP:INDISCRIMINATE for more information. |
