Minimum measurement

[edit]

The term "significant" is pretty subjective. This template includes moderate earthquakes of less than 6.0. What is the minimum measurement on the Richter magnitude scale or Moment magnitude scale to be considered significant and included on this template? Thanks, Alanraywiki (talk) 22:57, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose it depends on the fairly straightforward things like damage, injuries, and loss of life, but unusual things happen around here. The smallest earthquake listed on this template (5.4), the 2008 Chino Hills earthquake, made its way all the way up to good article status. Dawnseeker2000 03:42, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Change template color

[edit]

I think changing the template color to a maroon or red color would help define it.--Expertseeker90 (talk) 05:23, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Include more earthquakes to list

[edit]

The 1882 Owens Valley (M7.8?), Nov. 1987 Superstition Hills (M6.0), July 1992 Coachella Valley (M5.0), June 2005 Anza-Borrego Desert (M5.5), June 2010 Anza-Borrego Desert (M6.0), August 2012 Brawley (M5.4) and June 10, 2016 Anza-Borrego Desert (M5.2) earthquakes can be mentioned. 67.49.89.214 (talk) 19:12, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a list. It's a navigation template and it only includes items for notable events that have existing articles. Some of thee items that you mentioned are non-events. Dawnseeker2000 19:28, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
