Creation

[edit]

This template was created to list Douglas airliners in the same fashion as Airbus and Boeing airliners. I have included the Dolphin, which although not part of the DC sequence, was the first 'airliner' built by Douglas. I have given the DC-9, MD-80 and MD-90 individual mentions (all linking to the DC-9 article), in the same way that 720 links directly to 707 on the Boeing Template. I have included proposed airliners which were not built, namely the MD-12 and the MD-94X. I have not included the MD-91X and MD-92X, which were proposed prop-fan variants of the MD-80, or the MD-XX, which was a proposed rewinging and stretch of the MD-11. If individual articles on these proposals are created, they should then be included in this template. Nick Moss 05:48, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MD 95/717

[edit]

Should this really be on this template? Although the project was started by MD, Boeing developed and produced it. 65.39.13.223 (talk) 15:14, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

@YSSYguy: Now you've gone too far the other way, which I assume is your point. Wouldn't it have been better to just ask me why I believed the links I restored were useful? I would have told you. - BilCat (talk) 18:28, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since there's been no comment for over 24 hours, I've reverted to previous version. (It's possible you've been unavailable, or didn't see this post or get my ping. It happens sometimes.)
