Judiciary committee
[edit]Why are only two members of the committee listed? Here's a complete list: http://judiciary.senate.gov/members.cfm Corvus cornix 23:00, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
It would make a long list even longer. Leadership of the committee was the deciding factor. Some of the articles this information box is on are shorter than the length of the box itself. There is a link to the Judiciary committee itself for the interested editor/reader. -- Yellowdesk 06:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- This has been subsequently changed (by others) to have three members, of each House and Senate Judiciary committee, with the Chair of the Subcommittee hadnling courts or U.S. Attorneys. -- Yellowdesk 01:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Inventory of what articles don't have this template
[edit]As of today, taking an inventory, the navigation template is not on:
Harriett Miers and Fred F. Fielding.
Both would need to have greater text indicating they were participants to justify the navigation box.
Also not on the Senators or the House or Senate Judiciary Committees for the same reason.
Resignation effective dates needed.
[edit]It's looking like the administration section will need a resignation effective date for those who have resigned, then we can merge everyone back into one group again. -- Yellowdesk 22:27, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Do we need to include the list of USAs in the Template?
[edit]Since there is now a link to the USAs template at the top, do we need the list of USAs in this template? I'd favor removing the USAs here - it will shorten the template, and the present list of USAs is not quite accurate; perhaps too complicated a story for a simple list like this. Not strongly felt, however, but it would relieve that nagging feeling that the USAs list here is not quite accurate... Bdushaw 08:07, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- An interesting idea. I'm agnostic. I added the table of USAs at the top because I needed handy access to the template more than a few times. -- Yellowdesk 13:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Affected Attorneys Should Be Listed
[edit]This template appears on several of the attorneys who were affected. However the template does not link to them. That's a wiki no no. The template is useful but it should follow the wiki process. Americasroof (talk) 15:37, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- The template would be gigantic and overwhelm some of the articles it was on, if it included everyone who was involved or affected. It gives each reader an opportunity to navigate to the multiple articles describing the describing the controversy; everyone is listed via the category, Category:Dismissal_of_United_States_Attorneys_controversy which is shown on the template as Complete list of related articles I wold be interested in knowing where the policy you describe about templates is written.
