Template talk:Did you know nominations/Hard Candy (film)
Appearance
I think "that no one noticed" isn't the right quote here. The article shows the movie was noticed and got awards, it doesn't fit the article to choose that quote.
I offer this:
- ... that the 2005 film Hard Candy was said to feature Ellen Page's artistic breakthrough performance, preceding her Academy Award winning role in Juno?
Since Juno is a GA too and it's kind of a symbol for Page, I think it's appropriate to mention it. Uziel302 (talk) 07:56, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
- The quote doesn't necessarily need to fit the article at large per se, it's just supposed to be one interesting, referenced fact. That being said I don't think the quote doesn't fit the article, I mean, the film only being shown in two cinemas in the entire United States is pretty disappointing. Whilst it was fairly well critically received, Hard Candy was never a popular film. Also just for future reference you only bold the article that is being nominated. You can nominate multiple articles at once though (for example if the Juno article had been promoted to GA in the last 7 days you could nominate them together), however, that is not the case here unfortunately. Nevertheless, i've nominated an ALT based on your concern. Freikorp (talk) 11:38, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks.
- By the way, the two theaters thing is only the start, it was later screened in many theaters around the world and earned 7$ million dollar - maybe not the most popular movie, yet not a "no one noticed" kind. Uziel302 (talk) 14:14, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
