Template talk:Did you know nominations/Angelina (French singer)
To Yoninah
[edit]... as I'm not supposed to change the template: "marked" is active, of course, but I'd have preferred "Angelina performed" to "Angelina's performance", like "Angelina's dress". But never mind. Still expanding the other, I wonder if I get far enough today. Imagine: this architect is alive on his 100th birthday, heard him on radio. - I took pics of the building last year, DYK? Will upload. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:17, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
To Yoninah 2
[edit]@Yoninah: Excuse me for bothering you again. I think the current version (as edited by Ravenpuff) sounds too complicated. How about:
- that Angelina's (pictured) performance at the 2018 Junior Eurovision marked France's return to the contest after 14 years?
I mean, without "second-place". (Since Ravenpuff objects.) The performance itself definitely "marked the return". --Moscow Connection (talk) 18:06, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Moscow Connection: OK, I simplified it. Yoninah (talk) 19:52, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you! --Moscow Connection (talk) 08:46, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I think the words "French singer" are unnecessary cause the hook mentions France and Junior Eurovision later on. We can say "song contest" to make the format of the event more clear. How about:
- ... that the performance of Angelina (pictured) at the 2018 Junior Eurovision marked France's return to the song contest after 14 years?

- @Moscow Connection: I thought it was important to connect Angelina with France at the end of the hook. Yoninah (talk) 12:48, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- Okay. I just think the original version had a beter flow. I understand Ravenpuff's desire to "avoid '(pictured)' after a possessive", but still.. --Moscow Connection (talk) 06:28, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

David Levy changed the hook once again, now it repeats "contest, contest". :-( --Moscow Connection (talk) 06:28, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
- My apologies. I've changed the second instance to "competition". —David Levy 06:40, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
