- ... that Mozart built in the final scene of his opera The Magic Flute "upon a solemn fugato around the chorale Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein" by Martin Luther?

Hook
- Length, format, content rules – Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Source – I think it would be better if it cited Alfred Einstein directly (the citation information is at the website; it can be entered in the usual form followed by "... cited at raptusassociation.org, accessed DATE" and so forth. Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- will do that, thanks, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- done, please check the formatting, I wasn't sure about "cite book" or "web", and where to mention "cited". I am tempted to include Einstein in the hook, - as Schweitzer on the Main page now with BWV 107 but it might get too complex, right? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:36, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Probably. I would use {{cite book}} for that, with the text about it being cited as quoted at raptus appended. Daniel Case (talk) 16:40, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Interest – Mozart using something Martin Luther wrote? I hadn't realized Luther wrote music. Perhaps, if things had gone differently, he might have nailed 95 scores to the wall. (So, yes, given all this commentary, jocular and otherwise, it's interesting). Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Luther wrote music! (See his article, lead: "His hymns influenced the development of singing in churches." and some chorales, such as Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir) And if people don't know the more important to put him there, smile. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Image suitability, if applicable – N/A, no images submitted with hook (Maybe we could get a sound file; it's all PD). Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Where would I find it and how include in the hook? Article: it should probably go to the Magic Flute article. I wish I could link directly to the scene, but all act 2 is one entity at present. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I suppose sampling any performance into an .ogg file would be good ... the music itself is PD. You include sounds as you would include images ... we've done it on the Main Page before. Daniel Case (talk) 16:40, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- ALT hooks, if proposed – N/A Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

- Vintage – Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Sourcing (V, RS, BLP) – Looks good beyond issue mentioned above. Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Neutrality – Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Plagiarism/close paraphrasing – Doesn't appear to be too exact a translation of German article, although it clearly draws from it (Gut in other words). Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Interesting! I had forgotten that there was a German article and realized only after it was mostly written, see when I inserted the "de"-link, smile, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- copyvio (files) – They're all early Renaissance manuscripts and PD. Daniel Case (talk) 04:32, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Obvious faults in prose, structure, formatting –
