archiveurl

[edit]

@Samwilson: what's that good for? Are you aware of any bio that has ever been taken down by the ministry? Schwede66 02:57, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66: we'll they changed their urls years ago, and they are in maintenance mode. I'm thinking that this parameter has been mass-added to lots of templates and isn't a particular attack on the reliability of the DNZB, however. Stuartyeates (talk) 03:40, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, not a mass-add of archiveurl, but me just being silly I think. :) Certainly not a slight on the Ministry's reliability though! hehe Sam Wilson 04:00, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, but they do get updated I think? (Maybe? I'm not quite sure.) I was lead to think they were because of the info in Harriet Maria Ritchie (thanks for tweaking that by the way), and thought it might be good to archive a version just in case (I sort of do it reflexively for any web links... I sort of forgot that this one is probably more reliable than others). Now I've confused myself though, with that article, becuase I don't quite see where the Harriet-with-an-e spelling came from, or her middle name; is it even the same person! (No, I'm sure it must be, because of the dates and occupations). Anyway, feel free to revert the template if you like! :) Sam Wilson 03:59, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
