Should the abolished text already be in place for the councils that will continue to exist until 2023 (eg Allerdale Borough Council and Carlisle City Council)? I know the new authorities have been elected, but they do not officially exist until 2023 and the old ones continue until then, albeit with shadowing. I note that Template:Somerset elections has not yet put abolished beside the councils (such as South Somerset and Somerset West and Taunton which will be replaced by the new unitary Somerset Council in 2023, the members of which were also elected on the same day as the members of the future Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council and is similarly acting as a shadow authority until then. I have no strong feelings, but if we go with the example here, the Somerset template should probably follow it as well. Dunarc (talk) 22:56, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
