Revert back to the listing pre sub-classes
[edit]As we no longer have articles on the Kent and London sub-classes due to copyvio issues, I am reverting the template back to its previous listing. If or when the Kent, London, Dorsetshire, and York sub-classes are de-stubbed, we can change it back. (Personally, I feel the sub-classes made the template way to long and "cluttered" looking, but YMMV). --Kralizec! | talk 13:37, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Template redesign?
[edit]The template's current design includes a massive amount of blank space, and even at 1280 x 1024 resolution, it takes up nearly half the screen. As the County class only had fifteen ships in it, having an eighteen line tall template seams more than a little excessive. Unless anyone has serious objections or beats me to it, sometime late next week I will redesign a more compact template. --Kralizec! | talk 19:11, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Since no one else beat me to it ... ;) I compressed the template down from eighteen lines of height to twelve, made the two "List" links consistent (both are now listing ship classes), tweaked the format a smidge, and removed unnecessary code. My changes are based in part on the templates for the Town-class cruiser and Baltimore-class cruiser. Personally, I still prefer the original (non-sub-class) layout better. YMMV --Kralizec! | talk 22:16, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
