Creating balance; template nesting
[edit]This template is, in principle, a good one. But it is at present considerably skewed and biased: geographically (towards the West), historically (towards present-day) and culturally (pop/rock etc. styles), so is a poor reflection of the breadth and depth of Christian music historically and globally.
I've just nested the existing 'Chant' template within it. This makes a start on broadening it out considerably from all three of the above limitations. I hope that is acceptable.
Further, it suggests that even more flexibility could be gained by having using a model of several independent, nestable templates, rather than one monolithic one.
Thoughts?

- There is also a Template:Christian music which is similar to part of this, and lacks the flexibility of this. I suggest we consider letting that one merge into this (with necessary adjustment and accommodation). Feline Hymnic (talk) 00:07, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
