Should the battles be listed in the order they started, or ended? See also Talk:Polish_September_Campaign#Camapigns_of_this_campaign.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 19:57, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's a lot less confusing to use the start date. Appleseed (Talk) 20:17, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed two wrong links - Battle of Przemyśl (took me Polish-Ukrainian War battle) and Battle of Węgrów (1863 Jaunaury Uprising battle).
Come on people, show me what you can, we still have several red links in this template! Peace --- User: Pan Wikipedia

German and Soviet fronts

[edit]

Can I suggest this campaign box be divided up to partition the German and Soviet fronts in the war? Oberiko 14:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganisation

[edit]

This campaignbox got way too long to be readable - or usable. I decided to reorganise it following the pattern used for the Battle of France. As there is the war took place all over Poland and there were no easily-identifiable fronts (as in "Eastern Front of WWI" or "Western Front in 1944"), I decided to - somewhat artbitrarily - divide the battles as follows:

  1. First comes the Battle for the Borders, which is probably the only universally-accepted frame
  2. Then comes the Baltic sea, from Westerplatte to the fall of Hel
  3. Then all the battles that took place between the end of the Battle for the Borders and September 10 (on that day the Polish forces were officially split onto two fronts)
  4. Then two sections, one for the Northern Front forces, one for the South
  5. and finally all the battles against the Soviets.

I guess there's plenty of ways to skin a cat, I just chose this one. Do you have any comments/suggestions/ideas? Ping me if you do :) //Halibutt 03:46, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
