– For a consistent naming across similar templates. Also accounts for recent page moves like Big Brother (U.S. TV series) to Big Brother (American TV series) the template names should be moved as well TheDoctorWho (talk) 06:11, 13 June 2019 (UTC)--Relisting. - propose alternative - I think all of them should be titled more consistently and concisely as "Big Brother country", so I'd oppose all, except Template:Big Brother Naija→Big Brother Nigeria, Template:Big Brother Suomi→Template:Big Brother Finland, Template:Big Brother in the United States→Template:Big Brother United States, Template:Gran Hermano (Spain)→Template:Big Brother Spain, Template:Pinoy Big Brother→Template:Big Brother Philippines. This names them all "Big Brother" per the main franchise article (Big Brother (franchise)), not the local name of the main show since the template also covers things like CBB, and this also leaves out the extraneous "in". -- Netoholic @ 07:26, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- I Support the above proposed alternative as well, my main goal here was just getting them to have a consistent naming pattern. TheDoctorWho (talk) 07:33, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support original proposal (with a slight amendment that all versions are "Big Brother in" regardless if the series is "Secret Story", "Loft Story", "Grand Hermano" or others; and Naija and Suomi fixes as per Netoholic above). I've had the "pleasure" of working on the correcting of BB article names and other fixes for the past year, and this is something I've already noticed and was on the list of things to fix. It is incorrect to name the template as "Big Brother <country>", as that makes the template use a made-up name in some situations - this was a major problem in working on fixing the names of the BB series and contradicts all that work; it also is just incorrect in a lot of situations, where the majority of the template can be for a different version, like in {{Big Brother UK}} or {{Big Brother France}}. Having the names as "Big Brother in <country>" solves these issues as it doesn't create a made-up name but describes the contents of the template as it also follows the franchise article name as Netoholic points above. The extra word ("in") is irreverent as the template is used only once per page so the template length does not matter, and actually follows WP:TPN. --Gonnym (talk) 10:31, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Gonnym: The main reason I suggest dropping the "in" is because including it means you also have to, inconsistently, include "the" for some countries and not others, as in Template:Big Brother in the United States or Template:Big Brother in the Philippines. -- Netoholic @ 21:07, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. Well, the trade off is having made-up looking names, which were the actual article title names until recently, which to me is a much bigger con. --Gonnym (talk) 08:12, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

- Relisting note There are 2 proposals, and more discussion should be held about which set of targets is better --DannyS712 (talk) 20:08, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose if the name is accurate. For example, the first item is Big Brother Africa which is the real name of the show, so it should be left as is. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:18, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
