Vivienne Westwood
[edit]What is she doing in this template? I can't find anything in her article, or via Google, that indicates any connection to the subject. The closest think I can find is something about whether she wore knickers when meeting the queen, which doesn't really cut it. Am I missing something? EEng (talk) 02:18, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- She designed the new robes for King's College, London in 2007. Whether this is sufficient grounds to include her in the template is open to discussion, but if Cecil Beaton (who designed the robes for the University of East Anglia) is on the list, I guess she should be too. (And, for that matter, Hardy Amies, who designed the robes for the University of Essex.) -- Nicholas Jackson (talk) 09:09, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Though it's a rarefied area and there aren't many contenders, I think that just designing a school's regalia isn't enough (no doubt many others have done so in obscurity). I'd drop Beaton and Westwood, keep the others, but I leave that decision to you and others with more of an overall sense for the subject. EEng (talk) 13:13, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
