This is the old version of the standard welcome template, as it existed before a new version was adopted in April 2020 following a discussion at the village pump.
Usage

Add {{subst:Welcome-retro}}

Parameters:
|1=Sender
– The username of the person sending the message. Used for a link to your talk page.|art=Article title
– Article to which the user contributed positively:{{subst:Welcome-retro|art=Radar detector}}
|heading=no
– Suppress the automatic heading:{{subst:Welcome-retro|heading=no}}
|headtext=Greetings!
– Change the contents of the heading:{{subst:Welcome-retro|headtext=Greetings!}}
|newuser=y
– drops "Thanks for your contributions" from first paragraph. (alias:|nothanks=y
)
Briefer
[edit]Use {{subst:Welcome}}
for a briefer message with big buttons instead of policy links.
For anonymous editors
[edit]For anonymous (IP) editors, use Use {{subst:Welcome-anon}}
for the standard message, or Use {{subst:Welcome-anon-retro}}
for a retro style like this one.
