DYK credit template for user talk pages.

Minimal example

Replacing 1 January with the relevant day/month, 2016 with the relevant year, and One with the relevant article.

This yields:

On 1 January 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article One, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, One), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Multiple articles

If multiple articles are applicable, simply append them one after the other as additional parameters:

If you wish to be more specific about how the editor you're thanking helped, you may provide |action=, as e.g.:
