Usage
[edit]This template is for usage in track and field articles to convert athlete performances from metres to feet and inches. This version is slightly different than the standard T&Fcalc template, for use in long throwing events (Discus throw, Hammer throw and Javelin throw) in situations where conversions should not use fractions of an inch. It is for use in track and field athlete biographies, lists of statistical records, or other such appropriate articles.
IAAF rules stipulate that internationally acceptable performances should be recorded in metres, regardless of the typical units of measurement used in that location. The accuracy of performances for these events in feet and inches is down to the nearest whole inch.
Examples
[edit]The template only has one field, which should be the distance in metres, entered within the template following a vertical bar ( | ).
