This template is designed principally to expand one parameter- for example an American K-12 grade into grade, ages, and English year groups. It can work from grades, year groups and ages.
Usage
[edit]School age refers to the pupils age at the start of the school year (in the UK 31 August)
{{School age|4}}gives: Pre-K (age 4–5){{School age|8|informal=yes}}gives: 3rd grade (age 9–10){{School age|8|plural=yes}}gives: grade 3 (ages 9–10){{School age|13|plural=yes|yeargroup=true}}gives: grade 8 (ages 13–14), year 9{{School age|13|plural=yes|yearform=true}}gives: grade 8 (ages 13–14), third form{{School age|15|plural=yes|yearform=true|yeargroup=true}}gives: grade 10 (ages 15–16), year 11, fifth form(group is fixed to precede form){{School age|17|yearform=true}}gives: grade 11 (age 1–17), lower sixth
