When used with the "Redirect category shell" (Rcat shell) template:
This page is a redirect. The following categories are used to track and monitor this redirect:
To its plural form: This is a redirect from a singular noun to its plural form.
Redirects of this sort exist for reader convenience in cases of singular–plural pairs. It is also used for "false singulars", wherein the plural or plural-looking form is better attested in usage, such that the normal "prefer the singular" Wikipedia naming convention is not followed. Examples:
Use this rcat to tag qualified mainspace redirects only; if qualified singular forms are found in other namespaces, use {{R from modification}}instead.
When appropriate, protection levels are automatically sensed, described and categorized.
Template {{Redirect category shell}} may be used to add one or more rcat templates, along with their parameters and categories, to a redirect. For more information, see the documentation page below.
When used by itself:

Usage
Use this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.
This redirect category (rcat) template populates both Category:Redirects to plurals and Category:Unprintworthy redirects by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. The singular forms for which this rcat is designed are not usually suitable for a printed version. In other words they are unprintworthy. See below for what to do with those uncommon exceptions.
Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia.
Add this rcat to a redirect (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
#REDIRECT[[(target article title)]]{{Rcat shell|{{R to plural}}{{R unprintworthy}}}}
Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT[[(target article title)]]{{R to plural}}
Use this rcat to tag any mainspace redirect from the singular noun of a plural target. {{R from singular}} redirects here and may also be used.
Important note:
Redirects of this sort exist for reader convenience in cases of singular–plural pairs or false singulars, wherein the plural or plural-looking form is better attested in usage, such that the normal "prefer the singular" Wikipedia naming convention is not followed. This is not a license to create articles against the English-language Wikipedia's naming conventions, but it is only for those rare cases where the plural is the correct form and the singular is not. Examples:
If a singular → plural redirect does not fall within the above description, then consider if Wikipedia:Naming conventions (plurals) would indicate that a page move/rename to the singular title is necessary. The populated category is monitored by contributors who keep track of these to ensure compliance with Wikipedia policies and guidelines.
Some singular redirects are printworthy, such as those that are considered as possible article titles over their plural targets. When you add this rcat to a redirect that you decide is printworthy, then use the unnamed parameter to subdue the unprintworthy category in the following manner:
{{Rcat shell|{{R to plural|1=printworthy}}{{R with possibilities}}{{R printworthy}}}}
or the 1= may be omitted:
{{Rcat shell|{{R to plural|printworthy}}{{R with possibilities}}{{R printworthy}}}}
and if used individually:
{{R to plural|printworthy}}{{R with possibilities}}{{R printworthy}}
