A Swiss franc note issued in 1914, featuring engravings of William Tell (as visualized by Richard Kissling) and the Rütli Mountain. The currency and legal tender of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the franc was introduced by the Helvetic Republic in 1798. In 1907, the Swiss National Bank's first notes were issued in four denominations.
