A panoramic view of the skyline of Hong Kong, a city which has been considered the world's worst for light pollution owing to its numerous spotlights and LED billboards. A 2013 study found that Tsim Sha Tsui was the worst polluted area, with readings on average 1000 times brighter than the benchmark "normal dark sky", and subsequent studies have found areas such as Tin Shui Wai, Mong Kok, and Causeway Bay to be well above the recommended level of light emissions.
