This is a category header template for use in gendered Olympic Games categories, to facilitate cross-linking between "Category:Men's Foobar" and "Category:Women's Foobar".
Explanation
[edit]If it used on "Category:Men's Foobar", it will use {{Category see also if exists}} to create a "See also" hatnote to "Category:Women's Foobar".
Similarly, if it is used on "Category:Women's Foobar", it will use {{Category see also if exists}} to create a "See also" hatnote to "Category:Men's Foobar".
In each case, the hatnote will be created only if the target category exists.

Limitations
[edit]This template has not been tested in all possible applications, so its use is restricted to pages which meet all the following criteria:
- The page is in the Category namespace
- The page title contains the word "Olympic" or "Olympics"
- The page title contains the word "Men's" or "men's" or "Women's" or "women's"
If the page title contains more than one of instance of "Men's"/"men's"/"Women's"/"women's", only the first instance will be processed.
Error tracking
[edit]Tracking categories will be populated in the following cases:
- Use on non-category page
- Category:OlyCatMenWomen on non-category page (population: 0)
- Use on page without "Olympic in its title"
- Category:OlyCatMenWomen on non-Olympic page (population: 0)
- Use on pages whose title does not include the word "Men's" or "men's" or "Women's" or "women's"
- Category:OlyCatMenWomen on pagename without men's or women's (population: 0)
