Does it work with existing work-around code?

This works because it, in effect, mimics the operation of the old {{navsource}}
. The {{noitalic}}
work-around causes the tests in the new version for fail so the positional parameter {{{2}}}
is treated like it doesn't have a proper ship prefix.
{{noitalic|USS}} Houston {{noitalic|(CA-30)}}
→'"`UNIQ--templatestyles-0000000B-QINU`"'<span class="noitalic">USS</span> Houston '"`UNIQ--templatestyles-0000000C-QINU`"'<span class="noitalic">(CA-30)</span>

Does it work with this variety of work around?
- Photo gallery of USS 'Nashua' (YTB-774) at NavSource Naval History
Sort of. Still readable and doesn't display an untoward amound of markup.
