Description

This template creates a wikitable-header used in hundreds of partial minor planet lists, for example: List of minor planets: 1–1000. It also adds a back-to-top link to make the table of contents navigation bar more accessible. This table-header is sortable and used on each sequentially numbered group of 100 minor planets. The header-titles link to the corresponding sections on the main page, or to other articles, lists and categories as follows:

• Designation → List of minor planets § Designation
  • Permanent → Minor-planet designation
  • Provisional → Provisional designation in astronomy
  • Citation → Meanings of minor planet names
• Discovery → List of minor planets § Discoverers
  • Date → Category:Astronomical objects by year of discovery
  • Site → List of observatory codes
  • Discoverer(s) → List of minor planet discoverers
• Properties → Standard asteroid physical characteristics
  • Category → List of minor planets § Orbital groups
  • Diam. → List of minor planets § Diameter
• Ref → none

Usage

Use the optional parameter |top-link=no to suppress the "back to top " link for each page's top-most table-header:

Use:

for all other table headers below the 1st.
