Notes of the family tree

• Two women on this family tree are said to have been kings of the Danes in their own right: Asa, who succeeded her father Olav and "about whom many proverbs are told"; and Hethae "the second Wysna", who fought under Harald Wartooth at the battle of Brawel, and whom the Danes afterwards made king over them with the permission of the battle's victor, King Ring.
