Syntax

[edit]

General fields

[edit]
name
Enter the modified organism's most commonly used name. If left blank, the name will be determined based on page title.
image
If possible, include an image of the modified organism itself or one most characteristic of it.
event
Provide the event title officially assigned to the modified organism.
id
Provide all unique identifiers associated with the modified organism.
type
Set =plant if the modified organism is a plant. For other types, leave this field blank and start a new section on the template's discussion page, so that the one you have encountered may be added.
species
State the modified organism's binomial species name, along with a direct link to the relevant article.
mode
Specify the degree of genetic relation. If the organism has had genes introduced from multiple genetic sources, list the relations of them all.
Classifications derived according to Kaare Nielsen's proposed scheme
Process Source of genetic modification
Intragenesis Within genome
Famigenesis Species in the same family
