Template:IATA code for US with FAA/doc
Appearance
This is a documentation subpage for Template:IATA code for US with FAA. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Template:IATA code for US with FAA generates a comment, together with a reference consisting of an external link to an airport information page at the Great Circle Mapper website. The comment specifies that the FAA and IATA codes differ, including the case when there is no assigned IATA code. The links are used as a reference in airport articles when a better source is not available online (such as a link to the Aeronautical Information Publication).
Usage
[edit]The template requires two unnamed parameters:
- The FAA airport location identifier.
- The ICAO airport location identifier.
Code: | {{IATA code for US with FAA|EVY|KEVY}}
|

There is a third, optional, parameter:
- The IATA airport location identifier.
Code: | {{IATA code for US with FAA|DEE|PADE|DRG}}
|
---|---|
Result: | Many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA. However, this airport is assigned DEE by the FAA but has been assigned DRG from the IATA. |
