Template:Gilliland/doc

Purpose

This template calls template:cite web to cite an episode of John Gilliland's the Pop Chronicles music documentary. The template can be used to link any show at the unt.edu website when citing a show as a source.

Vertical layout

Valid with up to these three parameters (in this order) only:

Parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
url	optional	The web address (URL) of the episode. If this is missing, this template will use the "show" variable to generate a URL.
title	optional	The title of the episode, which is passed on to cite web. If this is missing, this will default to "Show (number)."
ref	optional	This "ref" variable is passed onto cite web.
show	optional	The show number in the series. There are currently 55 shows online, so this number should run from 1 to 55. This is used to create a default url if the url is not provided. If omitted, this defaults to 1 (the first show in the series).
year	optional	Defaults to 1969. Must be changed to a year in the 1970s for later broadcasts.
track	optional	Some artists or songs only appear on a single track of a show. This specifies which track. If provided, the track number displays at the end of the citation.
