Zhao Nanqi
[edit]- ... that Chinese general Zhao Nanqi, who fought alongside the son of Mao Zedong in the Korean War, was born in what is now South Korea? Source: People's Daily (page 1 mentions his brith place, page 5 mentions him serving alongside Mao Anying and the latter's death)

5x expanded by Zanhe (talk). Self-nominated at 18:25, 20 June 2018 (UTC).
- @Zanhe: The article is eligible (In the News was only for a recent death), but it's not showing up as 5x expanded in a DYK check. I'm not sure if this is because of the loss of 100 bytes since June 20 or what, but it is worth looking at. Otherwise, the hook is interesting (though People's Daily does not want to load for me), the article doesn't have copyvio problems, and there's a QPQ. If the expansion size issue is fixed, this would be an AGF accept. Raymie (t • c) 02:09, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Raymie: That's interesting. I did a manual check using char count, the pre-expansion version (18 March 2018) had 794 characters excluding templates, etc. but including unsourced content that I've removed. The current version has 4,457 characters excluding templates, etc. It should more than satisfy the 5x expansion requirement. -Zanhe (talk) 03:57, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
