Yongsan Dreamhub
[edit]- ... that one of the skyscrapers proposed for the Yongsan Dreamhub in Korea caused controversy over its design reminiscent of the 9/11 events?

- Some issues. In your article, you write about the tower's length of 630 meters, while the source says 620. Furthermore, the fair use picture is not in order, as you don't critically describe the tower as designed in that image. It would be okay if you used a picture of "The Cloud", though. You must also pipe the link in the hook.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 13:34, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
- Fixed: [1]. Thanks, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:49, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Nope, not fixed. You only added another fair use image (please update the fair use rationale by the way, since it's not thorough enough), but left the other one. Also, some portions of the article were written as if this real estate project is still going to happen, when in fact it appears it has been cancelled.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 14:38, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- I have no idea what is it that you want fixed in the increasingly impossible to understand by an average mortal fair use templates. May I ask you that you fix whatever arcane technicality needs to be addressed in them? I hope my last edit fixed the "planned" issue. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 15:45, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the confusion. "Fair use" is the US law provision which allows Wikipedia to use copyrighted images without prior consent. It's a nifty little thing, but it's only allowed in a very limited number of cases, as copyright law and Wikipedia policy are quite strict on that. One of the conditions is that the image is used for critical discussion. You don't do that with the Dream Tower. You do do that with the Cloud Tower. Keep that one, but please ditch the Dream Tower image. Also: take a look at the templates on the Dream Tower image page. Even though that image didn't fit on the Dreamhub page, its templates and what is written there is very thorough. Please draw some inspiration from that to apply on File:The Cloud at Yongsan Dreamhub.jpg. I hope you understand now.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 17:05, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- If you understand it, as it appears to be, could you demonstrate to me what needs to be done so I can learn from your edits? I already tried do do so twice, failed, and while I appreciate your explanation, I am still not sure what to do. As I said, a while ago bureaucratic complexity of how to use fair use on en wiki has reached the point I stopped understanding what to do (we need 2+ templates with numerous fields per image, plus special tricks in the article... nah, sorry.). Or I can just remove both images, much simpler. The reader will be less informed, but that's the only solution I can do. PS. The Dream Tower is discussed, as the highest planned element of the project; I think that's critical discussion, too. PS. I added a template, hoping this is the one you meant. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:44, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- If you so desire, we can continue this educational discussion about fair use on our talk pages. Let's keep this DYK discussion about the DYK nomination. For now, let's say I'll be happy if the Dream Tower image is removed, while The Cloud could be retained. If you do that, I can give you a {{DYKtick}}.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 13:29, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- Done. I still find it rather bizarre that the article about a proposed district cannot feature the image of said district (The Dream Tower is only a part of it). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:17, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
