Yang Hongying
[edit]- ... that Yang Hongying, whose books have sold more than 50 million copies, is known as "China's J. K. Rowling"?
- Reviewed: The Painted Skin
- Comment: A little math is involved in the hook: the SCMP article says her Mo's Mischief had sold 30 million copies and Diary of a Smiling Cat 20 million, plus other titles.

- Wonderful hook, cited inline to reliable sources. Article is long enough, new enough, well referenced and neutral. QPQ is done. There is one instance of wording that is slightly too close to the source: "She developed a bigger following when a Shanghai children's newspaper began publishing her tales" (ref #1) vs. "When a Shanghai children's newspaper began publishing her stories, she developed a bigger reader base". 97198 (talk) 16:32, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
- This nomination seems to have stalled so I have rewritten the sentence mentioned above. I agree with 97198 that in other ways, this nomination meets the DYK criteria. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:06, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
