Wins Above Replacement
[edit]... that some statisticians evaluate war in a baseball context?

- Comment: This is being submitted as an April Fool's Day DYK. I've put the acronym in lower case in the hook, as otherwise the joke is given away.

- ALT1: ... that Wins Above Replacement is a sabermetric baseball statistic that measures "a player's total contributions to their team"?
- 5x expansion and article compliance with policy have been verified. Suggested hook is supported by an inline citation and has been verified. I have one minor question - shouldn't the hook read "wins above replacement" as "wins" is not a proper noun? The alternative is "Wins Above Replacement". I'm equally fine with either, but mixed case doesn't make sense. If it is the latter, the article should also be moved accordingly. --ThaddeusB (talk) 00:31, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
