William Hunter (publisher)

[edit]

Williamsburg print shop sign = rebus

  • ... that William Hunter printed (Williamsburg print shop pictured) in 1754 the first George Washington official report?

interesting article on notable subject, on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF. I suggest to move the long "pictured" to the end and think about a different image, - this is free but looks like just another house.

Love the ALT1 suggestion. I am getting additional print shop pictures (copyright free) this week-end. Will change it then. Meanwhile can I get a "tick" with this picture? --Doug Coldwell (talk) 14:05, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
at your risk ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:12, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Changed picture to Printing Office sign.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 19:47, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Comment to promoting administrator - Could I get the picture included and be the first in the queue. Thanks!--Doug Coldwell (talk) 14:35, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I support this request because the image provides good historical background for the hook without words. I recommend to also use it in the infobox, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:53, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Printing Office sign used in infobox instead of shop "house" picture. Thanks for suggestion.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 20:56, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

  • I prefer ALT1, because I am afraid you lose readers: some won't click on anything 17xx, but would have clicked Hunter without reading the full line. We might go as far as dropping the year altogether, - George Washington and the image should tell enough ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:19, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
ALT3: ... that William Hunter printed the first George Washington official report (print shop sign pictured)?
repeat approval, ALT3 preferred --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:29, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
