William Baker (colonist)
[edit]- ... that New South Wales Marine Corps sergeant William Baker had a fish named after him in 1843?
- ALT1:... that New South Wales Marine Corps sergeant William Baker was the inaugural crier for Australia's oldest Supreme Court?
Improved to Good Article status by Euryalus (talk). Self-nominated at 01:59, 26 September 2015 (UTC).
- Article recently promoted to GA; hook short enough & interesting; hook fact confirmed from online Australian Museums citation. I could not access Fishbase, but confirmed synonymy from another source. (Incidentally, might want to mention that the fish was also known as Aulopus purpurissatus). AGF for ALT1 (offline source).
