William A. Brooks
- ... that after being a prominent college football player, William A. Brooks (pictured) became a prominent surgeon, and had several hospitals named after him? Source: many in the article, for example [1] (for the different hospitals, there's the Brooks Hospital (built 1915), Camp Brooks Open Air Hospital (built 1918), and the Brooks Cubicle Hospital built in 1919)
Moved to mainspace by BeanieFan11 (talk). Self-nominated at 18:03, 12 February 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/William A. Brooks; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Article is neutral, meets the required length, and is sufficiently referenced and free of copyvio (Earwig shows high percentage but these are direct quotes which are attributed correctly). Moved to mainspace the day before this nomination. Hook is interesting, succinct enough, and referenced. Image is suitably licensed (public domain), used in the article, and looks good at a small size. Once QPQ is done, this will be good to go! – Rhain ☔ (he/him)
