Wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill
[edit]( )
- ... that Christopher O'Neill (pictured) declined a royal title and kept his last name upon marrying Princess Madeleine of Sweden, wishing to remain a private US citizen?

- Comment: Since the wedding is a recent event (having taken place a few hours ago), I suggest slightly speeding up the process or giving this hook priority, while it's still fresh news. Surtsicna (talk) 21:58, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
- Article is new enough and long enough. One note: link Prince Philippos of Denmark and Greece to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh to remove the redlink. Other than that, it looks good, although the sources could use a little fixing. - Awardgive. Help out with Project Fillmore County 05:53, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for commenting! Prince Philippos of Denmark and Greece is actually the son of King Constantine II. We do not have an article about him. Surtsicna (talk) 09:06, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- The image here does not appear in the article, which is a problem: only images in the article may be used for DYK. Either the image can be removed from the nomination, or it can added to the article if you want it to be eligible. Note to potential promoters: if you want to promote this without the image, it is still approved for that purpose. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:24, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Took the liberty to change the image.--BabbaQ (talk) 16:11, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- The image nominated here was a crop of the image that can be found in the article. I thought that was okay; for what it's worth, I've done that before. But if the presently nominated image is considered better anyway, I have nothing against it. Surtsicna (talk) 18:46, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- I owe you an apology: the image was fine and crops are indeed okay. I think I may have been in the Christopher O'Neill article looking for the image, when it's the wedding article I should have been looking at. Restoring AGF tick per Awardgive. If you want to use your original image, please feel free! BlueMoonset (talk) 06:53, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- No problem, BlueMoonset. I think the original one is better because it shows his face better. It also shows him looking inwards, as if he was looking at the hook(s). I do hope an image will be used (whichever), as it is sort of a current event and there are many great quality pics of the couple, including this one. Surtsicna (talk) 08:09, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
