Water of Love
[edit]- ... that "Water of Love" was one of the five songs of the demo tape that led to Dire Straits' first recording contract?
- ALT1:... that Mark Knopfler played guitar on The Judds' cover of his song "Water of Love", which he originally wrote for his band Dire Straits?
- ALT2:... that Mark Knopfler's publisher made a country-style tape of Knopfler's song "Water of Love" without his knowledge, which led to a cover of the song by The Judds?

5x expanded by Rlendog (talk). Self nom at 00:49, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- Fascinating article, nice work! As for the nomination: Certainly passes article length criterion. It's listed as a "5x expansion," but I think it should be considered a "new" article, no? Rlendog started the article on August 18, it was a redirect before that. Sourcing looks solid for all three hooks. I prefer Alt 2, I think it's the most interesting point; but any of the hooks could work. -Pete (talk) 04:00, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
