- It is largely unsourced. In fact, aside from the awards/honors section, the entire article is either completely unsourced or based on a single source. This is a major issue for BLP, and in its current state the article might not pass an AfD if nominated.
- The source might not meet WP:RS. I have taken the liberty to ask about it here.
- It's unclear whether the hook is in the article (not the source). Where does it say that Konrad edited Mozart's sketches?

- Thank you for looking. Beginning at the end: "also published annotated editions of all of Mozart's sketches and fragments". Will look at other concern, - not "my" article, just an interesting subject. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:00, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- I looked. He earned some prizes, and most refs for them also substantiate the biography. I duplicated some, and added two. Sorry, right now I have no time for more, but please check again. I fail to see which source you thought was the "single". --
- @Gerda Arendt: Saying that he published annotated editions of Mozart's works does not mean he edited them. I think you meant to write that he edited (i.e. was the editor of) a publication with the collection of the sketches and fragments—but even then it's ambiguous, which IMO does not make a good hook.
- Regarding sources: Thank you for adding more sources—there are no longer any major BLP issues that I can see. However, the two new sources appear not to be secondary sources, so I would be cautious about accepting them for a DYK hook. Are there any secondary sources discussing the subject? In any case, it will be easier to assess this if a more appropriate hook is proposed. How about "... that German musicologist Ulrich Konrad, after studying fragments of Mozart's compositions, concluded that the latter had planned his works far more thoroughly than previously assumed?" A bit long, maybe someone can make a better suggestion, but I think the point about the discovery is quite interesting.

- Ynhockey, thank you, yes, editied, and I'll think about the ALT, god idea. Peter Schreier died, will take care of that first, after the morning round. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:35, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- That done, here we meet again. Look, I didn't write the article, someone did in German, LouisAlain translated, and I just did what I hoped makes it acceptable for DYK because I believe it's really good to know. - I often prefer to write from scratch, DYK?
- ALT1:
... that the musicologist Ulrich Konrad wrote a book Wolfgang Amadé Mozart, and edited the composer's sketches and fragments? - ALT2: ... that the musicologist Ulrich Konrad studied sketches that Wolfgang Amadé Mozart made for composition, and concluded that the composer planned his works more thoroughly than previously assumed?
- I don't think that the nationality of the musicologist matters enough to be mentioned. "Sketch" seems to explain "planning" better than "fragment". --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:26, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
- I reviewed Template:Did you know nominations/Church of the Cosmic Skull. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:03, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- New reviewer needed for ALT2, since it's mostly the creation of Ynhockey, who was reviewing this nomination. I have struck the original hook and ALT1, since they're not interesting (it's the sort of thing any musicologist would do). BlueMoonset (talk) 02:36, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- For Mozart, he was the one, not any, all others didn't. - This would be good on 27 January, composer's birthday. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:44, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
- Reviewed ALT2. Cited in German. Added link to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in hook. Thanks, Zeete (talk) 20:29, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- Adding a link is one thing, but not following the author's name is another. Please pipe, or should I write a new version, Zeete? Did you know that this composer signed Wolfgang Amadé or Wolfgangus Amadeus? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:34, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: Relink. Is this what you mean? Thanks, Zeete (talk) 21:52, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- yes, exactly, - I didn't want to change something in a hook that you had approved, even if id showed only in the edit history --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:55, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
