U 47 – Kapitänleutnant Prien
[edit]- ... that the German war film U 47 – Kapitänleutnant Prien portrayed the combat career of the U-boat captain Günther Prien, commander of German submarine U-47?

- Even if I cut this some slack on unreferenced plot part, the hook is not referenced, nor is the historical accuracy section. Please reference all non-plot parts and the hook, and ping me on talk for a re-review. Date is fine, size, I guess (if one counts the plot summary). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:24, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

- Good to go now. I'd suggest expanding the hook with a link to German submarine U-47 (1938) and the actor who plays Prien, and I'd add to the article information that the real fate of U-47 is unknown (so the movie ending is fiction). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 15:40, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- okay on the first suggestion, see above. Question: I wrote "U-47's destruction and Prien's death is another invention of the movie makers. To date, there is no official record of what happened to the U-47 or her 45 crewmen.". Does this not say exactly what you are suggesting? MisterBee1966 (talk) 16:07, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 16:42, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
