USCGC Smilax (WLIC-315)
[edit]- ... that the USCGC Smilax (WLIC-315), a 100-foot inland construction tender, is the current "Queen of the Fleet" of the United States Coast Guard?

- The article has close paraphrasing in the History section which must be recast before this can be accepted. Article is new enough, long enough, and the hook is verifiable. I added a link for inland construction tender to the hook. --Odie5533 (talk) 11:07, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Is that better? It is from an PD-USGov source with proper citation. Since it uses a lot of jargon I am a bit limited in choice of alternate vocabulary. Was there a specific spot? EricSerge (talk) 19:04, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Some of the sentences in the section are still very close to the source material, and the structure and flow is similar as well. I tagged it with {{USCG}}. DYK usually will not count incorporated text in the length requirement, but it does not directly incorporate (copy/paste) text and does attempt to paraphrase so I think I can pass this one. --Odie5533 (talk) 02:58, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
- Even with the text closely paraphrased from the PD source removed, the article is still just over the minimum; attribution is correct, so I think this is fine. Nikkimaria (talk) 15:26, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
