Trondheim Airport, Jonsvatnet
[edit]- ... that during the Second World War, the Luftwaffe landed planes on a frozen lake at Trondheim Airport which was 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) thick?
- Comment: Not a self nomination

- Matty, do you think the hook could say "one meter (three feet)" for those who won't already know that? — Maile (talk)
- Article was created on 20 December, and nominated on 22 December. The article is more than long enough, and is well-written with inline citations. Offline sources accepted in good faith. The hook is also good, but I believe it would be more clear with a few copyedits (the ALT1 below), like unpiping the link to avoid confusing with Trondheim Airport and to state that it was the ice (not the lake) that was 1m thick.
