[edit]- ... that when gynecologist Thomas Ashby died in 1916, he was the only University of Maryland faculty member to have served in the Maryland State Legislature?

- Honestly, is this the most interesting fact available? This guy must have a led a life of exemplary dullness. EEng (talk) 02:19, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Alas, if we knew the names of his patients, we could come up with something more salacious and less dull. :-) But being the only faculty member of a major state university to have served in its legislature is pretty surprising. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 17:22, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- I actually find that hook rather interesting, but as it stands now, the article is not quite 1500 characters and needs to be expanded. You will also have to write a full citation for reference 1, as we cannot allow bare links. Furthermore, the first paragraph needs additional citations. Otherwise, the subject is notable and the article is new enough. The hook is appropriately cited. Teemu08 (talk) 19:30, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Carlossuarez46: updated the article so it is now long enough and the references have been fixed. No QPQ is necessary as far as I can tell. Teemu08 (talk) 20:00, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
