These Arms of Mine (Otis Redding song)

  • Comment Hi! Shouldn't the DYK state that it was Redding's first hit single? Since he's no longer alive? Sarah (talk) 20:33, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Agreed, but more because it happened in the past. Even if it was Sting's first hit single, if it isn't currently a hit radio single the past-tense seems appropriate. Also, the article doesn't directly cite that this was his first hit single, although allmusic does directly state that and can be used as a citation. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 23:50, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Changed to "was". The article states that it was his first Stax single, and as Redding's prior singles were unsuccessful, it is self-evident that it is his first hit single.--GoPTCN 10:22, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- Great job on the article. It meets size and date requirements, and the hook is interesting and sourced. ▫ JohnnyMrNinja 05:44, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
