The Internet and cats
[edit]- ... that although cats have an unprecedented popularity on the internet, no one is entirely sure why?
- ALT1:... that CNN estimated there were about the same number of cat pictures on the internet as living humans on earth?
- ALT2:... that in 2015, the "How Cats Took Over The Internet" exhibit opened at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York?
- ALT3:... that the annual Internet Cat Video Festival celebrated and awards the Golden Kitty to cat videos?
- ALT4:... that Tim Berners-Lee was surprised to discover his invention being widely used for kitten content?
- Comment: Those are just some random ideas for the tagline. You guys can probably come up with something better. We are no where near searching every notable source for all its juicy information, so I'm sure we'll uncover some more exciting facts soon. Also, feel free to drop by and hit the edit button if this topic appeals to you. :)

- The article was created on 2 October and nominated three days later. There is currently 17K of text and there are no obvious copyvios. As far as the hooks are concerned, my favourite is ALT2, cited to a dedicated news piece in The Guardian and has the juxtaposition of putting the phenomena of cats on the internet in the realms of serious highbrow culture. I recommend paging @Fylbecatulous: as a topic expert to be the judge. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:45, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
